External Accountability
How to finally build healthy habits: call yourself out in your own online blog/diary/livestream/future bestseller ;)
Finally posting a draft from my good old google docs from early last week - certainly not reading it again, just a nice copy/paste and on to the next :)
MFBS for the win: I am about to (finally) do my 2 minutes each of yoga and meditation because I realized if I didn’t then I’ll have failed to live up to the simplest goal I set for myself. I haven’t even published it yet, but knowing it’s written down is the driving factor behind why i’m finally about to start a healthy habit. Does it count as external or internal accountability if I use MFBS? I’m not sure, but I do know I can do 2 minutes of anything … so I have to do it to be able to not hate myself. Easy enough - I made it here, so hopefully this snaps me out of the weird funk I’ve been in the last few days.
Yoga: Check
Set a timer and did 2 minutes of yoga. Now doing the same for meditation. Is it as successful as if I did a full habit scorecard? No, but it’s way better than continuing to procrastinate. Progress! Now 2 minutes of meditation then I can go back to disassociating from reality - I mean reading my book in bed.
Meditation: Check!
Ooh meditating without any music or prompts is surprisingly different but in a good way - at least for those 2 minutes. It’s wild how much just two minutes of meditation helped calm my mind down just now. Alright universe I get it, lesson learned: meditate more!
External (I think?) accountability in action.
