Get it together
Damnit, I started a post on my phone last night but I'll add that later. WHY AM I LIKE THIS: stayed up all night, fell asleep around 9AM and woke up at 3PM... 1 hour AFTER the psychiatry appointment I confirmed I'd be at. So mad at myself, so making a to do list right here right now so I can get moving:
How To Start Getting My Life Together Today:
- Cancel yoga tonight - I'm sore as hell from yesterday's class so I'm not even mad at myself about this one. (DONE!)
- Go on to the portal for Avance care and pay the fees/reschedule. I called and left a message, but I'm pretty sure I can do it online. If I want my vyvanse before it runs out without any issues, I need an appointment by October 8th. (DONE!! and I found out I have 3 months of Vyvanse called in, wahoo! I also requested to reschedule with a therapist... womp womp. but I know I need one.)
- PYTHON --> Thanks to my amazing friend Christina, I now have a direction to start with my task of 'learn more coding' because I'm going to help her with a question from her homework for her master's class. It's in my email - hop to it!
(not in my email... use text she sent! plus now is a good time to set up Jupyter Notebooks on my laptop/make sure it works.) - ...I know there's more than this. OH, figure out Maige's food situation - Chewy!
- FOLLOW UP ON CHEWY JOBS!! ... since it's the only one I truly care about.
- Then get through the backlog of emails & LinkedIn messages: note which jobs seem interesting and what I'd need to learn for them. (Started organizing my inbox this while looking for Christina's email - looks better already).
- So tempted to do this now, but I'm trying to be organized/patient... learn how to utilize GhostPro (i.e. code injections) to its fullest potential.
—> Bonus: learn more about meta data & search engines - Research master's degrees vs. coding certificates: in an odd twist of events, I actually answered a phone call from a number I didn't know, and it was the university of Arizona's global campus replying to a request for more information that I had filled in maybe 1 minute before they called. I don't think I want to go that route based on the price, but I like the schedule. 1 class at a time for 6 weeks, entirely self managed. After a year, I'd have a Master's degree!
... sometimes I just need a swift kick in the butt, preferably aimed in the right direction (i.e. Christina's homework help) to get started.
just remember: one thing at a time. baby steps.
oh no, how could I almost forget? Regardless of how ashamed I am to have to do this, I NEED to e-mail my accountant (thank goodness for childhood friends) and figure out what to do about the IRS wanting money I don't have. First I need to e-mail Wayfair for all my tax forms since I can't access Workday anymore.
Am I completely insane for thinking I'd rather go to jail than pay a single penny they're asking for? Yes - I'm sure one jail became realistic, I'd find a way to pay $21,000. I should talk to Useless... I've given up on ever seeing a penny back from him, but it'd be nice to hear he's still okay out there.
BUT FIRST... empty my mind:
so many other little to-do's screaming in the background, time to get them out of my head and acknowledged so I can actually focus on the list above:
*App streaks: this is ridiculous, but check-in to GoPuff for points :) and play 5 games on 'impulse' to reach my daily goal and keep the streak going. If only I could be as motivated to keep my meditation streaks going...
*Tattoos: I filled out a form for some place that accepts walk-ins, but I'm thinking spending money on tattoos isn't advisable currently :( ...maybe piercings? re-do my belly button?
*Strip Tease: hell fucking yeah I'm going to learn some dance moves/how to do the best strip tease ever. bonus? It's fun and a workout. more details on how I got started doing this later...
*Photo Reveal: tutorial & check pricing. DO NOT BE UPSOLD.
*Birthday cards for mom and dad... at this point I might as well wait until Christmas.
*STAY OFF INSTAGRAM UNTIL THE BEGINNING LIST IS COMPLETED!!
*DITTO FOR EMAILS ABOUT SALES! (the inspiration for the pic of this post)
